Warm data labs

Warm data labs were designed by Nora Bateson. In this practice, small groups connect on a topic within a particular context, e.g. a political, historical or economic context. Individuals get shuffled through different groups and contexts, and the idea is to cultivate transcontextual awareness.

Again, this is a weaving practice we sense into different contexts, increasing our capacity without an “outcome” we could name. It’s more about shifting our own thinking and sensing, sensitivizing ourselves to seeing deeper patterns while also seeing how different contexts play differently.

As such, the goal is not to solve anything but to evolve participants’ sensing, about how we relate to ourselves, each other, and the systems we live in.
